Description

Simple recipe for making homemade bone broth gummies to support your dog’s joint health.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold broth and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Whisk in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth.
  4. If using, lightly grease a silicone mold (small candy molds work well) with coconut oil.
  5. Carefully pour the liquid mixture into the silicone molds.
  6. Refrigerate the molds for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until the gummies are completely firm.
  7. Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, homemade, or store-bought low-sodium bone broth for best results.
  • These gummies must be refrigerated and typically last for up to two weeks.
  • If you do not have silicone molds, you can pour the mixture into a shallow, parchment-lined pan and cut it into small cubes once set.
