Description

A light and flavorful jerky made with turkey and sweet peas.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup sweet peas, fresh or frozen
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, sweet peas, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, creating a uniform layer.
  4. Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm to the touch. The exact time will depend on the thickness of your jerky and your oven.
  5. Once baked, remove the jerky from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Break or cut the jerky into desired pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for longer storage.
