Description

A savory and slightly sweet jerky made with turkey and blueberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup dried blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, dried blueberries, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Place the mixture between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  4. Remove the top sheet of parchment paper. Cut the turkey mixture into strips.
  5. Arrange the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they do not touch.
  6. Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm.
  7. Let the jerky cool completely before storing.

  • For a chewier jerky, bake for a longer period.
