Description
Soft, chewy gummies made with sweet potato and bone broth for your dog’s health.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup sweet potato puree
- 1 cup beef bone broth, cooled
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for greasing)
Instructions
- Combine the bone broth and water in a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the liquid and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Gently heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and whisk in the sweet potato puree until completely smooth.
- If using, lightly grease a silicone mold (small candy or gummy molds work well) with coconut oil.
- Carefully pour the mixture into the molds.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until the gummies are firm.
- Once set, gently remove the gummies from the molds.
- Store the finished gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken bone broth for beef bone broth.
- If you do not have silicone molds, you can pour the mixture into a shallow, parchment-lined baking dish and cut into small squares once set.
- Adjust the amount of bone broth slightly if the mixture seems too thick or too thin before pouring into molds.
