Description

Simple recipe for homemade bone broth gummies designed to help calm your dog.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers (optional, for added calming effect)
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil (for greasing molds)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease silicone molds with coconut oil.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of gelatin over the cold broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. If using chamomile, gently warm the remaining bone broth in the saucepan over low heat. Do not boil.
  4. Whisk the bloomed gelatin mixture into the warm broth until completely dissolved. If using chamomile, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the flowers.
  5. Carefully pour the liquid mixture into the prepared silicone molds.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Always use bone broth made without onions or garlic, as these are toxic to dogs.
  • Start with a small piece to gauge your dog’s tolerance.
  • These gummies are best kept refrigerated and used within 7 to 10 days.
