Description
A simple and healthy soft jerky treat for your dog, made with rabbit and parsley.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground rabbit
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the ground rabbit, chopped parsley, and water. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Spread the mixture thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm but still pliable. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the jerky.
- Let the jerky cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Once cooled, break or cut the jerky into bite-sized pieces.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
- Ensure the parsley is very finely chopped to avoid large pieces in the jerky.
- You can adjust the baking time to achieve your desired level of dryness.
- This jerky is a treat and should be given in moderation.
