Description

Simple recipe for homemade dog treats featuring bone broth, pumpkin, and turmeric.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef or chicken bone broth
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (plain, not pie filling)
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. Pour the bone broth into a small saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface of the broth and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Place the saucepan over low heat. Stir gently until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the pumpkin puree and turmeric powder until fully combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone molds (gummy molds or small ice cube trays work well).
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

  • Store these gummies in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
  • You can use turkey or vegetable broth if preferred.
