Description

Simple gelatin gummies made with bone broth to support dog recovery after exercise.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef bone broth (low sodium)
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional, for color/anti-inflammatory)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth and the turmeric powder, if using.
  4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds (small candy molds or ice cube trays work well).
  5. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Remove the gummies from the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Give your dog 1 to 2 gummies per 20 pounds of body weight after strenuous activity.
  • These gummies must be stored in the refrigerator and are best consumed within 7 days.
