Description
Homemade gelatin gummies made with bone broth, mint, and parsley to support dog dental health.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups Beef or Chicken Bone Broth
- 4 tablespoons Unflavored Gelatin Powder
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Fresh Mint, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil, melted (optional, for coating)
Instructions
- Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the top and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth, the chopped parsley, and the chopped mint. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture into silicone molds (small candy molds or ice cube trays work well).
- Refrigerate the gummies for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
- Once set, carefully remove the gummies from the molds.
- If using, lightly brush or toss the gummies with melted coconut oil to prevent sticking.
- Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
Notes
- Use high-quality, low-sodium bone broth for best results.
- Adjust the amount of mint and parsley based on your dog’s preference. Start with small amounts.
- If you do not have silicone molds, you can pour the mixture into a shallow, parchment-lined dish and cut it into small squares once set.
