Description

Homemade gelatin gummies made with bone broth, mint, and parsley to support dog dental health.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Beef or Chicken Bone Broth
  • 4 tablespoons Unflavored Gelatin Powder
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Mint, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil, melted (optional, for coating)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the top and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth, the chopped parsley, and the chopped mint. Mix well.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture into silicone molds (small candy molds or ice cube trays work well).
  5. Refrigerate the gummies for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Once set, carefully remove the gummies from the molds.
  7. If using, lightly brush or toss the gummies with melted coconut oil to prevent sticking.
  8. Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, low-sodium bone broth for best results.
  • Adjust the amount of mint and parsley based on your dog’s preference. Start with small amounts.
  • If you do not have silicone molds, you can pour the mixture into a shallow, parchment-lined dish and cut it into small squares once set.
