Description
Simple homemade gummy treats made with bone broth to support your dog’s immune system.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth
- 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional, for color/anti-inflammatory)
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder over the broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 cup of cold bone broth and the optional turmeric powder. Mix well.
- Pour the liquid mixture into silicone molds (small candy molds or ice cube trays work well).
- Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
- Carefully remove the gummies from the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- These treats must be refrigerated and are best consumed within 10 days.
- Adjust the amount of gelatin slightly if you prefer a firmer or softer gummy texture.
- Always introduce new treats slowly to your dog’s diet.
