Description

Simple recipe for making dog-safe bone broth gummies at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a silicone mold or a small baking dish with coconut oil.
  2. Pour 1 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of gelatin over the cold broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 3 cups of cold bone broth.
  5. Pour the mixture into your prepared mold or dish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Cut the set broth into small, bite-sized squares or use the shapes from the silicone mold.
  8. Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

Notes

  • Always use bone broth made without onions, garlic, or excessive salt, as these ingredients are harmful to dogs.
  • If you do not have a silicone mold, line a small glass dish with parchment paper for easy removal before cutting.
  • For a firmer gummy, increase the gelatin by 1 tablespoon.
