Description

Simple recipe for making chewy, collagen-rich bone broth treats for your dog.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for texture)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1 cup of bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder over the cold broth and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in the remaining 3 cups of bone broth and the coconut oil, if using.
  4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds shaped like bones or small squares.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Cut or pop the gummies out of the molds. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, homemade, or store-bought low-sodium bone broth.
  • If you want a firmer gummy, increase the gelatin slightly, but monitor texture.
  • These treats are best kept refrigerated and used within 10 days.
