Description

Simple recipe for making homemade bone broth gummies for canine health support.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 1/4 cup unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth.
  4. If using, stir in the chopped parsley and turmeric powder.
  5. Pour the mixture into silicone molds (gummy bear or small square molds work well).
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, homemade, or low-sodium store-bought bone broth.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
  • For a different flavor, you can substitute a small amount of pureed carrots or pumpkin for the parsley.
