Description

Simple recipe for making low-fat, chewy bone broth gummies for your dog using green beans.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup beef bone broth (low sodium, fat skimmed)
  • 1/2 cup fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. Steam the green beans until soft.
  2. Puree the steamed green beans until smooth.
  3. In a small saucepan, gently warm 1/4 cup of the bone broth. Do not boil.
  4. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the warm broth and whisk until fully dissolved.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining cold bone broth and the green bean puree. Mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into silicone molds (small shapes work best).
  7. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  8. Remove gummies from molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Always use low-sodium bone broth made without onion or garlic.
  • Skim off any visible fat from the broth before use.
  • Store finished gummies in the refrigerator for up to one week.
