Description
Simple recipe for making chewy, turmeric-infused bone broth gummies for your dog.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups beef bone broth
- 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (to aid turmeric absorption)
Instructions
- Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of bone broth, turmeric powder, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.
- Pour the mixture into silicone molds (gummy molds or small ice cube trays work well).
- Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
- Pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Store the gummies in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
- You can substitute chicken bone broth for beef bone broth.
- Start with one small gummy per day to see how your dog tolerates the turmeric.
