Description

Simple recipe for homemade bone broth gummies designed to support your dog’s digestion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon pureed pumpkin (plain, not pie filling)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold broth and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1.5 cups of bone broth and the pureed pumpkin until fully combined.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture into silicone molds (gummy bear or small square molds work well).
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  6. Carefully remove the gummies from the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use only plain, unsalted bone broth for your dog’s health.
  • If your dog has specific dietary restrictions, substitute the pumpkin with an equal amount of plain, unsweetened applesauce.
  • These gummies are best made fresh weekly.
