Description

Simple gelatin treats made with bone broth for your dog’s daily snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the liquid and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of cold bone broth.
  4. If using, lightly grease a silicone mold or a small baking dish with coconut oil.
  5. Pour the liquid mixture into the molds or dish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 to 4 hours, or until completely firm.
  7. Once set, cut the mixture into small squares or pop them out of the molds.
  8. Store the treats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, low-sodium bone broth for the best results.
  • If you do not have silicone molds, line a small dish with parchment paper for easy removal before cutting.
