Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless duck breast
  • 1 ripe pear, cored and roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Puree the chopped pear in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  4. Slice the duck breast thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Arrange the duck slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spread a thin layer of pear puree over each duck slice.
  7. Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and leathery.
  8. Turn off the oven and let the jerky cool completely inside the oven with the door slightly ajar.
  9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Ensure the duck is fully cooked and dried to prevent spoilage.
  • Adjust baking time based on your oven and the thickness of the jerky.
