Description

A simple recipe for homemade chicken and blueberry jerky, offering a protein-rich snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup blueberry juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breast thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. In a bowl, combine blueberry juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add chicken slices to the marinade and toss to coat.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
  5. Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C) or prepare your dehydrator.
  6. Arrange chicken slices in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment paper or on dehydrator trays.
  7. Bake or dehydrate for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and leathery.
  8. Let the jerky cool completely before storing.
