Description

Simple recipe for homemade, healthy bone broth gummies for your dog, using carrots and spinach.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups beef or chicken bone broth (unseasoned)
  • 1/2 cup pureed carrots
  • 1/4 cup pureed spinach
  • 4 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into a small saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the broth and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  2. Gently heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Do not boil the mixture.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining 1 1/2 cups of bone broth, pureed carrots, and pureed spinach. Mix until completely combined.
  4. Pour the liquid mixture into silicone molds (small candy molds work well).
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the gummies are firm.
  6. Remove the gummies from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Always use bone broth made without salt, onion, or garlic.
  • Check the ingredients of your gelatin to confirm it is unflavored.
  • Store these treats in the refrigerator for up to one week.
