Ingredients

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup carob powder
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (95 degrees Celsius).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef, carob powder, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the mixture thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
- Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the jerky.
- Let the jerky cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Once cooled, break or cut the jerky into bite-sized pieces.
- Store the jerky in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
- Ensure you use carob powder, not chocolate, as chocolate is toxic to dogs.
