Description

Homemade beef and carob jerky for dogs, a healthy and safe treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup carob powder
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (95 degrees Celsius).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, carob powder, and water. Mix until well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture thinly and evenly onto the prepared baking sheet. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 inch.
  5. Bake for 4-6 hours, or until the jerky is dry and firm. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the jerky.
  6. Let the jerky cool completely on the baking sheet.
  7. Once cooled, break or cut the jerky into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Store the jerky in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
