Description

Simple recipe for homemade apple and bone broth gummy treats for dogs.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup beef bone broth, unsalted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. Pour the bone broth into a small saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the broth and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
  3. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  5. Stir in the apple sauce until fully combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into silicone bone-shaped molds.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  8. Remove gummies from molds and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium or homemade bone broth without added salt or seasonings.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to one week.
